new zealand motorcycle tours info
Guided motorcycle tours cover North and South Island New Zealand. If you wish to tour with a group of friends, we are happy to design a motorcycle tour to suit your available time, interests and budget. Email or phone us and we'll call you right back.
After breakfast each day, we show you the day's route, We stop along the way for lunch and to take in the scenery. Our New Zealand motorcycle tour guide will lead the tour, but don't feel you have to ride in formation. If you want to break away from the group, you can meet up at a predetermined point. We arrive at our overnight stop in the afternoon to give you a chance to look around or rest and get ready for dinner.
In areas where there's a lot to see, we stop for 2 nights so you can see the sights, take part in adventure activities, or just relax. If you can't keep away from your motorcycle, your tour guide will provide some fantastic motorcycle touring routes.
New Zealand Tours Activities
Take advantage of our add-on New Zealand Tour Activities for experiences that will make your motorcycle holiday a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. If you've energy left, there's plenty of nightlife at all major New Zealand centers where we have free days.
New Zealand Food and Wine
New Zealand is famous for its fantastic fresh food, some of the best wines in the world and gorgeous locally brewed beers. You'll love our New Zealand fruit and vegetables, highest quality meat, and huge variety of freshly caught sea food; or for non-meat eaters there's a superb vegetarian selection. Eat with the group, or if you prefer time to yourself, that can also be arranged.
New Zealand Motorcycle Tours Support Vehicle
We have a luxury air-conditioned mini bus so you can bring your luggage on tour without being weighed down on your motorcycle. Non-rider passengers who wish to take a break from the motorcycle can ride along in the tour bus. For peace of mind we carry advanced first aid supplies and a driver qualified in first aid.
motorcycle touring gear info
For comfort, we recommend that you bring your own motorcycle touring gear. We find that most of our clients don't like hiring used clothing and helmets. If you are stuck, we can help you out with suitable motorcycle touring gear in New Zealand
The climate in New Zealand is mild and gets up to the high 20's in summer, with the occasional rainy day, especially in the Fiordland area of South Island (that's why New Zealand is green!), so bring your wet gear. The North Island of New Zealand is sub tropical and the South Island temperate. The mountainous regions of New Zealand can get chilly in autumn and spring in the early mornings and evenings, so you'll need clothes to suit the climate; layers of clothing are ideal.
You can carry any day to day gear in your motorcycle panniers, whilst the rest of your luggage will be transported in the tour mini-bus, so it's always close at hand.
Outer Clothing for New Zealand
New Zealand is a relaxed, laid back country. You won't find people dressing up for dinner, so smart casual is fine for all of the New Zealand restaurants we will be visiting. Don't forget the swimwear and sandals! The New Zealand sun is a lot fiercer than in Europe, so bring a high factor sun screen, hat and sunglasses.
